Mrs. Lester Tetu of Milwaukee, Wisconsin from Heart Attack
Mrs. Lester Tetu of Milwaukee, Wis., who lived in Hawarden when a young girl, passed away last Friday evening. Mrs. Tetu had been in failing health as she was a sufferer of heart trouble. She was returning home from a visit to her doctor when she was stricken with a heart attack and passed away on the street.
Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in Milwaukee Monday morning with Rev. Hafford in charge. Her remains were brought to Hawarden and burial services were held in St. Mary's cemetery Wednesday morning with Rev. R. Graf in charge. Mr. Tetu and daughter Shirley, her mother, Mrs. Anna Brewer, and her sister, Mrs. Leo Toland, of Cloquet, Minn., and her brother, Blayne Roach of Milwaukee, attended the service in Milwaukee and then came to Hawarden by car.
Evelyn Roach was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa March 5, 1905, and so was but a little more than 37 years of age at the time of her death. She came to Hawarden with her parents and lived here for several years. From here the family went to Willmar, Minn., and later to Cloquet, Minn. For the past number of years she lived in Milwaukee.
Besides her husband and daughter she leaves to mourn her untimely death her mother, Mrs. Brewer, and sister, Mrs. Toland of Cloquet, Minn., and her brother, Wayne Roach of Milwaukee. She was a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roeper of Hawarden.
