Former Resident Dies at 84; Rites Thursday

EAGLE GROVE — Mrs. Hattie Bender, 84, died Monday at Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge. She had been a resident there eight years. Her husband, Henry Bender, who had been a railroad official with the Chicago Northwestern, died in 1941. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Kastler Funeral Home here with burial in the Eagle Grove Rose Hill Cemetery. Her only survivors are three nieces in Wisconsin.
