Funeral for Helen B. "Polly" Miller of Hillsboro was Friday in the Hillsboro Methodist Church. She died Tuesday in a Forest Grove care center. She was 84. Mrs. Miller was born in Belmond, Texas [sic should be Belmond, Iowa], and moved to Boise before moving again to Portland when she was 9 years old. For the last 50 years she lived in Hillsboro. Mrs. Miller attended Franklin High School in Portland and Willamette University in Salem. From 1960 to 1984, she was a partner in E. Ray Miller Gardens. She was also a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, the Pythian Sisters and the Hillsboro Women's Garden Club. She was a 4-H Club leader for 13 years and held offices in the Presbyterian Church and the Phenocia Temple No. 10. Surviving are her husband, E. Ray; son, Donald R. of Bellevue, Wash.; and three grandchildren. Burial was in Skyline Memorial Gardens in Portland.
