MRS. ROSENAU, 60, DIES AT VENTURA
SERVICE HELD MONDAY AND BURIAL WAS AT CLEAR LAKE

Mrs. Charles Rosenau, 60, died Friday at 7:45 at her home north of Ventura after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Monday at 1 o’clock at the residence and at 1:30 o’clock at the U. B. chuech in Ventura with the Rev. Z. Hougham officiating. Mrs. Syd Halford and Mrs. Lau sang “The Old Rugged Cross,” “Rock of Ages” and “Does Jesus Care.”

Mrs. Rosenau nee Maudie Estella Temby was born July 21, 1881 at Union Mills, Jackson county, Wis. She came with her parents to Belmond where she grew to womanhood. At the beginning of a new century, on Dec. 31, 1900, she was married to Charles Rosenau. They resided on a farm near Belmond for three years and then moved to a farm south of Clear Lake. In 1920 they moved to a farm north of Ventura where they have since resided.

Four children were born to this union, May, Mrs. Leslie Hartbeck of Klemme; Vida, Mrs. Hollis Bokelman of Ventura; Fredrick of Ventura; and Emil of Mildred, Minn. Besides her husband and children, five grandchildren and one brother, Archie, of Columbus, Ohio, survives. A brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Mrs. August Bitker, Mrs. Anton Park and Mrs. John Park arranged the flowers at the funeral. The pallbearers were John Park, August Bitker, Lyle Bokelman, Wm. Schow, J.G. Baker and Sherman Moore. Interment was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.
