C. ROSENAU, 76, VENTURA FARMER TO BE BURIED SATURDAY

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Charles Rosenau, 76, retired Ventura farmer who died in a Mason City hospital Wednesday evening, will be held in the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Ventura Saturday at 2 o’clock. The Rev. E.M. Miller, pastor, will be assisted by the Rev. Calvin Grossbusch, pastor of the Reformed Church in Klemme. The Wilcox Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Rosenau was born Feb. 7, 1872 in Prussia, Germany, son of Frederick and Anna Kramm Rosenau. He resided in the Ventura community 61 years, recently having lived with his daughter, Mrs. Leslie Hartbeck, near Klemme. Dec. 31, 1900, Mr. Rosenau was married to Miss Maude Estella Temby. They lived on a farm near Belmond 3 years before moving to a farm south of Clear Lake. In 1920 they moved to a home north of Ventura, where Mrs. Rosenau died Nov. 7, 1941.

Mr. Rosenau is survived by 4 children, Mrs. Hartbeck, Mrs. Hollis Bokleman, and Fred Rosenau, Ventura, and Emil Rosenau who is in the service; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a brother, August Rosenau, Manson.
