Rites set for G. D. Henry

Gilbert Dell Henry, 65, Nevada, died about 3 a.m. today at Story County Hospital after an illness of about 14 months. Born at Goldfield, he was the son of Gilbert and Nora Henry. He married Ethel Whyte Aug. 26, 1927 at Goldfield. Mr. Henry was cashier at the State Bank and Trust Co., Nevada, and a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge, Rotary Club and the C.P.I. Club.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel; a son, Richard W. Henry, Des Moines; three daughters, Mrs. Norma Pehlein, Charles City, Mrs. Shirley Eckhardt, State Center, and Mrs. Janet Bovey, Waterloo; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Ross Henry, of Clarion, and two sisters, Mrs. Merina Henry, Philadelphia, Pa. and Mrs. Ralph McLaughlin, Waverly, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Central Presbyterian Church with burial in the Nevada Cemetery. The Ryan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
