CEDAR FALLS -- Keith Kimpston, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, at the Western Home Elizabeth Martin Center. He was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Fayette, son of Allben and Maude Patterson Kimpston. He married Edith Enghausen on July 29, 1962, in Dows. A graduate of Fayette High School in 1944 and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Kimpston was a custodian for many years with the Cedar Falls Community School District, retiring in 1991. Survived by: his wife; two daughters, Janelle and Juanita Kimpston, both of Waterloo; a brother, Nathan (Betty) of Waterloo, and a sister, Norma Lawrence of Cedar Rapids. Preceded in death by: his parents.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
