August 1, 1820 -- May 23, 1900

Old Mr. Babler, living with his nephew, Minor Babler, southwest of Renwick died of heart disease, last week. The old gentleman's health had not been in good condition for a couple of weeks past and as the nature of his disease was known, the suddenness of his death was not wholly unexpected. Mr. Babler came to this country from Switzerland about five years ago and has since made his home with his nephew. He was well along in years, having reached the 80th milestone of life. The funeral services were conducted in the German Evangelical church here yesterday afternoon. Interment occurred in Vernon cemetery. The relatives have the sympathy of the community.
