SELDER FUNERAL HELD AT OSAGE
PIONEER NORTH IOWA WOMAN DIES AT AGE OF 74

Osage, June 19. – The funeral of Mrs. Peter H. Selder, 74, who died Monday afternoon at her home on Mechanic street after a long illness was held here today. She was born July 24, 1854 in Ulverton, Quebec. When she was 14 years old she came with her parents to Grundy County near Morrison, where she lived until her marriage, December 14, 1886. The went on a farm near Mitchell, S. Dakota, where they lived until 1904 when they came to Osage to be near Mr. Selder's aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Selder. Mr. Selder died December 8, 1918. Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Leslie Cornwell, deputy county superintendent; also four brothers; Will Elliott of Riverside, California; Arthur Elliott of Huron, S. Dakota; Jeremiah Elliott of Waterloo; John Elliott of Wayzata, Minnesota. The funeral was held at the Shelledy funeral home with the Rev. E. B. Frye in charge. Burial was in the Osage Cemetery.
