MRS. CLAUDE DIES AT 75

Mrs. Fred J. Claude, 75, longtime resident of the Woolstock community died early today at the St. Joseph Sanitarium, Dubuque, where she had been a patient the past four years. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fosters funeral home. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.

Hattie E. Schutt, daughter of Christian and Marie Schutt, was born Sept. 12, 1882, on a farm in Wright county near Woolstock. She received her education in the school of Wright county and grew to young womanhood in that community. She was united in marriage Jan. 18, 1905 to Fred J. Claude, and following their marriage they farmed in Wright county near Woolstock where her husband preceded her in death in 1955. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Irene, who died in infancy; her parents, four brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Claude is survived by one daughter and two sons, Mrs. Joe (Marie) McNally of Tama, Iowa, Frederick Claude of Webster City and Karl Claude of Woolstock; six grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Martha Mourlam of Belmond. Mrs. Claude was baptized in the Lutheran faith.
