April 9, 1863 ----- August 24, 1932

Candace Abigale [sic] Richardson was born in a log cabin in Cedar county, Iowa, April 9, 1862, and died at her home in Renwick, at the age of sixty-nine years, four months and sixteen days, August 24. She was one of four children born of the marriage of Asa C. and Lydia Parr. All, with the exception of one sister, Mrs. Ocey Hoover of Des Moines, having preceded her in death. She moved from Cedar county with her parents and family to Carroll, Iowa then to Webster City and from there to Eagle Grove.

January 1, 1883, she was united in marriage to Austin Barton Richardson, who was engaged in business in Renwick. She located in Renwick immediately after her marriage and had made her home there since. To their union were born three children, Murl B., Carroll A., of Renwick, and Grace B., now Mrs. Everett Graber of Des Moines. She is survived by her husband, her three children, one sister and six grandchildren, besides many other relatives and a host of friends. She became a loyal and devoted member of the Baptist church in 1885 and during these many years was very active in all the departments of the church. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. J. A. Huleyy, pastor of the church officiated. Burial was in the Goldfield cemetery.
