Marguerite Louise Holck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Holck, was born in Fenton, Iowa on Feb 3, 1908 and passed away on Oct. 31, 1916 at the age of 8 years, 8 months and 28 days. She was baptized in early infancy. Little Marguerite was attending school in Pipestone, Minn., where she was making her home with her sister, her home really being at Elkton, S. Dak. On Thursday, Oct. 26 she was taken ill with appendicitis and on Monday morning, Oct. 30, she was taken to the hospital in Pipestone where she underwent an operation. At first the operation seemed successful but gangrene set in and she died Tuesday morning, Oct. 31 at seven o'clock. The death of this child is especially sad for the four brothers, four sisters and bereaved mother, who has already mourned the loss of two children and her husband, who died eight years ago. Interment was made in Vernon Cemetery beside those who preceded her in death.
