Leonard Vogel, age 103, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at his home. Leonard was born August 7, 1910 in Dows, Iowa to John and Emma Vogel. As a young man of twelve, Leonard realized his need to accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior. On February 23, 1939, Leonard married Anna Bilby of Elmo, MO. To this happy union was born three sons, Ray, Ronald and Roger. The family farmed near Coin, Iowa. After retiring in 1974, Leonard and Anna moved to Villisca, Iowa. In 1999 they moved to Dublin, Ohio to be near their son, Roger. Leonard is preceded in death by his wife Anna and his son Ray. He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Feather) Vogel and Roger (Mary) Vogel; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. He was a member of the Berean Bible Church, 7541 Dublin Rd., Dublin, OH 43017 where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013. Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at Berean Bible Church. Burial will follow in Dublin Cemetery.
