September 21, 1938 --- June 23, 2013

Donna Jean Gray, 74, of Humboldt, passed away June 23, 2013, at the Humboldt Care Center North. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 in the chapel of the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Livermore. Visitation is from 12:30 – 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Donna is survived by her children, Gary Flurer of Humboldt, Roxann Johnson of Ottosen, Barry Flurer of Colbert, GA, and Tina Zeimet of Algona; grandchildren, Naomi Moore, Nick Moore, Brittany Johnson, Brandon Flurer, Tiffany Zeimet, Patricia Zeimet, Wendell Zeimet, Katelyn Flurer, and Josh Zeimet; great grandchildren, Kaden Zeimet, Aiden Moore, and Henry Moore; and sisters, Barbara Gangstead of Clarion, and Audrey Kover of Washington State. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Richard Bordwell, Cecil Rowell, and George Flurer; brother, Robert Bjornson, Jr.; and sisters, Ruth Reed and Eva Caudell.

Donna Jean Bjornson, the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Gordon) Bjornson, was born September 21, 1938 at Goldfield, Iowa. She was raised at Goldfield and attended Goldfield Schools. Following her education, Donna began her family. She took great pride in her work as a Certified Nurses Assistant in area care centers and as an in home care giver. She also worked as a waitress in various restaurants in Humboldt and Pocahontas counties. Donna loved helping care for her grandchildren as well as helping in her daughter’s day care. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She was known as an avid joke teller and in her younger years, loved to go fishing around Algona and the Reasoner and Rutland Dams. Above all, Donna loved her children and grandchildren who will always remember her as a caring mother.
