Barton (Bart) Brinkman, age 48, of Dows passed away Thursday June 13, 2013 in Anoka, MN. Funeral services for Bart Brinkman will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday June 19, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Dows. Pastor Kalen Fristad will officiate. Visitation for Bart Brinkman will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Tuesday June 18, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Dows and will continue one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Dugger Funeral Home, 100 North Lee Street in Dows is in charge of arrangements.

Barton Allen Brinkman the son of Melvin and Anna Armstrong Brinkman was born on August 2, 1964 at Franklin General Hospital at Hampton, Iowa. He graduated from Dows Community High School in 1983. He also attended Iowa central Community College in Fort Dodge. On (Date Of Marriage) Bart married Lorrie Knoll at Pine Lake Park in Eldora. The couple was blessed with two daughters, Sarah Jane and Paige Lorraine. Bart loved his job where he worked mainly with heavy equipment. He also enjoyed goofing off with his friends, Mark, Frank and Brad. Bart enjoyed spending his time with his girls and beloved friend Jeni Tjarks. He also enjoyed Mc Gyvering anything that needed fixed and even things that didn’t, Morel Mushroom hunting, or just laying in the hammock doing nothing.

Survivors include his daughters, Sarah of Rowan and Paige of Goodell; mother, Anna of Dows; brother Gair of Eldora, twin brother Bradly Lynn (Kim) of Dows; sister, Margaret (Lynn) Worden of Dows; and other relatives and many friends.
