DOWS — Mamie Lucille Anderson, age 91, of Dows, Iowa, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton. Funeral services for Lucille Anderson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday June 21, at First Lutheran Church in Dows. Pastor David Nerdig will officiate. Burial will take place in the North Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery south of Iowa Falls. Visitation for Lucille Anderson will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Dugger Funeral Home, 100 North Lee St. in Dows, and continues one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

M. Lucille, the daughter of Ralph Percy and Gunda Marie Evans Moore was born Nov. 20, 1921, near Dows. She grew up in Oakland Township where Lucille attended country school. Lucille was united in marriage to Orlo Anderson on Feb. 7, 1942. The couple made their home on a farm near Dows. Together they farmed and raised four children, Dallas, Janis, Clinton and David. Lucille was a member of the Fist Lutheran Church in Dows.

Lucille is survived by her children, Janis Shimp and Dennis of Venice, Fla., David Anderson and Marsha of Clarion, two daughters-in-law, Linda Anderson of Williams, Mary Anderson of Dows, ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends. She is preceded in death her parents, husband, and two sons, Dallas and Clinton. Dugger Funeral Home, Dows, Iowa
