Kirkeberg, 71, Dies at Eagle Grove Home
EAGLE GROVE, Jan. 10. — Knut V. Kirkeberg, 71, retired farmer died at his home early Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at the West Side Lutheran church Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. He is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters. Burial will be at Thor. The son lives at Stanton; one daughter, Mrs. Don Parker, lives in Los Angeles, and one daughter, Amanda, lives in New York City.

K. C. Kirkeberg died Jan. 8thK. C. Kirkeberg, 71, died at his home Monday night at midnight. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Kubitschek & Kastler funeral home and 1:30 o'clock at the West Side Lutheran church. Burial will be held at Rose Hill cemetery. Mr. Kirkeberg leaves to mourn his passing, his widow and four childred living, two children having preceded him in death. Those surviving are: Mrs. C. S. Geis of Boston, Mass., Mrs. C. T. Mickelson of Eagle Grove, Mrs. Don Parker of San Marino, Calif., and A. M. Kirkeberg of Stanton, Iowa. Seven grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters also survive.
He came to America with his parents at the age of five years. They first settled at Clayton county, then moved in a covered wagon to Humboldt county in the year 1873. In the year of 1888 he was united in marriage to Miss Joren Bervin and moved to an adjoining farm where he resided for 32 years, then moved to Eagle Grove in 1920. Four years later, while working on a building, he fell and received an injury from which he never fully recovered. He also leaves a host of friends and relatives, by whom he will be greatly missed.
