THOMPSON INFANT DIED LAST THURSDAY

Ralph Ray, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thompson, died at their home last Thursday. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the home, conducted by Rev. Severtson. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

The following obituary was prepared by Rev. Severtson of the East Side Lutheran church:

Ralph Ray Thompson, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Henry and May (Buhner) Thompson, was born January 8, 1923, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. On November 11 of the same year he was received into the Kingdom of God through Holy Baptism and became an heir to all the grace of God. After a brief illness he passed away from this life Thursday morning, May 22, 1924, at the age of 1 year, 4 months, and 14 days, leaving his parents to mourn his loss.

Dear little Ralph stayed with us only a very short time, but he accomplished so much. He created a big place in the home. He opened the hearts of father and mother to thoughts, feelings and hopes which had not existed before. Now he has led the way into another sphere, into the home of God where Jesus went to prepare a room for him. So God in an affectionate way leads our thoughts heavenward.
