October 4, 1917 --- May 4, 2013

Jacqueline M. Brown Ferrario was born on October 4, 1917 in Clarion, Iowa to Harry Leonard and Edith Marie Range Brown. She was the fourth child, with three older brothers Lyman, Robert, and Julian Brown. “Jackie” grew up in Clarion, graduated from high school, worked for a short time, then moved to Southern California. There she worked for MacDonald-Douglas, and after WWII, moved with friends to Hawaii for a few months. She later returned to California and settled in Marysville, where she had her daughter Marie and married Frank Ferrario.

The happy couple made their home in Santa Barbara and added a son Joe to the family. Husband Frank was a partner in a popular restaurant “Tommy & Frank’s” in downtown Santa Barbara, and passed away September 28, 1993. Jackie worked for UCSB for several years. Jackie continued to live in Santa Barbara for a total of 52 years. In 2003, she moved to St. George, where she resided until her passing on May 4, 2013. A graveside service was held on May 13, 2013 at the Tonaquint Cemetery in St. George, Utah.

Survivors are: son Joe (Paula) Ferrario; daughter Marie Mills; granddaughters Suzanne (Mike) Harrich, Cynthia (Jeff) Dykstra, Julie (Vincent) Allen, and Gina Mills; great-grandchildren Amy and Tyler Velasco (Harrich), and Jaxon and Jordyn Allen.

Jackie was well-loved throughout her life for her happy outgoing personality, love of life, and for being so young at heart. She loved her family and was blessed to live near them for the last ten years of her “young live”.
