Graveside services were held at Vernon Cemetery [actually Elmwood Cemetery] Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Chris Brown of Algona, a former Renwick resident. Rev. R. E. Coofl was in charge of the services. Emma Bram, oldest child of Jacob and Fannie Bram, was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, in 1873 and passed away at her home in Algona on May 20,1945. She came to Iowa as a small child with her parents and settled in Vernon township. She was united in marriage to Chris Brown, who preceded her in death. To this union one child was born, Mrs. Charles Lawrence of Kansas City, Mo., who was too ill to attend the funeral services. Mrs. Brown was baptized in the Evangelical church of Renwick. Her parents, two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Lawrence; three brothers, Henry Bram of Renwick; Jake Bram of DeGraff, Minn., and Peter of Estherville, and a sister, Mrs. George Jutte of Webster City.
