Ruby Irene Hoth, 96, of Hampton, Iowa, died Friday April 3, 1998 at Franklin General Hospital Nursing Facility in Hampton, Iowa. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Surls Funeral Home, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, with Rev. John Augspurger officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Iowa Falls, Iowa. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Surl Funeral Home, 505 Stevens St. Iowa Falls, Iowa.

Ruby Irene was born November 19, 1901 in Clarence, Iowa daughter of Frederick and Eleanor (Nellie) (Smith) Cessford. She was married to Guy C. Kay in June 1928, he died, she then married Almer Hoth in April 1, 1962 in Peoria, Illinois. He died January 26, 1975. She attended school at Dows. She was a member of the Edgewood Sewing School, Women of the Moose, Iowa Falls, Lodge #1108, Iowa Falls American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are two daughters, Darlene Kay Borzon of Cleveland, Ohio, and Rosalie Kay Mikkelsen of Waterloo, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husband, five brothers, two sisters, a son Donald Kay and a grandchild.
