Daisy Bittner dies at 88

Daisy E. Bittner of Pendleton died Friday afternoon at Hiersche's Nursing Home. She was 88. She was born at Dows, Iowa. She lived in Portland for 60 years and in Pendleton the past two years. She was very active in the Rose City Methodist Church, Portland, and PEO. she was reared in Boise. A music teacher, she taught in Boise schools and at Baker. Her husband, Omar N. Bittner, died in Pendleton Nov. 17, 1971. Survivors are a son, Dr. Jules F. Bittner, Pendleton, and grandchildren, Barbara, Nancy and Tom Bittner, all of Pendleton, and Terry Bittner of Portland. The funeral will be Tuesday.

Private Graveside Funeral Services will be Tuesday, June 19, 1973, 9 a.m. in Olney Cemetery, with Dr. Myron Nichols of the Presbyterian Church officiating. Arrangements are in care of Burns Mortuary, Pendleton, Oregon.
