Ell Scott Dies in Clarion; Rites Wednesday

CLARION, IA -- Funeral services for Ell Scott, 73, who died Saturday night at the Clarion hospital, where he was a patient 11 weeks, will be held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the United Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his wife, Helen; two sons, Eldon. San Diego, Calif.; and Don, Clarion, and one daughter, Mrs. J. C. Helegason, Kansas City, Mo. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. James Stroup, Holmes, and one brother R. A. Scott, Eldora.

Mr. Scott was born at Yorkville, Ill., and came to Clarion with his parents when he was 2. In 1915 Mr. and Mrs. Scott moved to Minnesota and ilved at Walnut and Fairmont until moving back to Clarion in 1933. Mr. Scott was employed by the Wright County Highway Maintenance Division 20 years, retiring in 1953. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodge.
