STORY CITY, IA -- Ronald Gene Pitman, son of Ray and Clara Pitman, was born Jan. 1, 1943 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. After a lingering illness, he died at Maricopa County General Hospital at Phoenix, Ariz., March 28. He was baptized in St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Belmond by Rev. O. S. Severseike, confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Story City by the Rev. Harold T. Masted and maintained his membership there until his death. Due to ill health he had gone to Glendale, Ariz. to be with his parents. He is survived by his parents, Ray and Clara Pitman, a brother, Richard, Phoenix, Ariz., a sister, Mrs. James Clayberg, Story City, two nieces, one nephew, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Pitman, Humboldt.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., April 3, from the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. Harold T. Masted officiating. Pallbearers were Larry Madson, Paul Madson, Russell Anderson, Kenneth Frette, Eddie Frette, and Larry Cornell. Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.
