October 11, 1912 --- January 30, 1949

Kenneth James Sexe, son of Henry J. Sexe and Thina Opheim, was born at Humboldt, Iowa Oct. 11, 1912 and departed this life at his home at Roswell, New Mexico, Jan. 30, 1949. He was baptized by pastor Joseph Unseth at Thor, Iowa and confirmed by pastor O. B. Anderson at Humboldt, Iowa on November 20, 1938. He attended Humboldt, Iowa grade school Iowa graduating from Humboldt high school in 1929. Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Army for a period of six years and was then discharged because of ill health. On December 27, 1939 he was united in marriage to Miss Violet Jones of Pocahontas, Iowa, and to this union three children were born. They are Barbara, Betty, and Patty.

Seeking a more suitable climate for his health Kenneth and his family along with his parents and brother Gaylord moved to Roswell, New Mexico in the year 1947. There he became associated with the Western Auto Co. Soon after he transferred, his church membership from First Lutheran church in Humboldt. Iowa from the Immanuel Lutheran church of Roswell, New Mexico. Throughout the year of 1948 his health continued to fail and he was under continual medical treatment. From June 1948 until November of the same year Kenneth and his family spent with relatives in Pocahontas, IA. Surviving are his widow; his daughters: Barbara, Betty, and Patty; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Sexe; his brother Gaylord of Roswell, New Mexico.

Truly it can be said that Kenneth accepted his burden willingly and without complaint.
