December 14, 1879 --- July 11, 1964

A stroke on Thursday brought death on Saturday to Peter H. Pals at Mercy Hospital in Mason City. He was for a number of years proprietor of Palsville General Store. Services at Meservey Reformed Church, Rev P. Yff, burial Meservey. Born in Germany. As a small boy came to U.S. with parents and settled in Ackley. Married 1902 to Gesena Wolters at Immanuel Church, Farmed Belmond and Meservey vicinities until 1915 when they moved to Meservey. He served a number of terms on the school board, was for many years Justice of Peace in Meservey. Survived by 6 of 7 children, daughter having died in infancy. Also survived by his wife, brother Hannis, 22 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
