Richard (Ric) White, 57, formerly of Dows, Iowa, died on Feb. 17, 2013 in San Marcos. Ric, the son of Jim and Jean White, was born Feb. 28, 1955. He graduated from Dows High School in 1973. After a year-long trip to New Zealand, he worked as a mason in Iowa, Indiana and Texas. Ric was a free spirit who loved his family and friends. He met life's challenges head on, learning from his life experiences. He enjoyed bluegrass concerts, camping, hiking, canoeing and vacationing in the Colorado mountains. He is survived by his wife Cinda of San Marcos, his son Josh of Dallas, his stepson Michael Seward (Toni) of Kailua, Hawaii, his stepdaughter Denese Biddle, his mother Jean White of Dows, Iowa, his sister Pat (Bob) Drury of Belmond, Iowa, his brother Jim (Jan) White of Ankeny, Iowa and nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. Memorial services will be at a later date. He was preceded in death by his father Jim White Sr.
