Mrs. Peter Kragt passed away at her home on Saturday morning at about eleven o'clock, death being caused by old age and complications. At the time of her demise she had attained the age of eighty years and seven months. She was born at Opperdous, in the The Netherlands in 1856, and was married to Peter Kragt there in 1880 and then came to America to make their home. Settling in Colorado: later coming to Iowa where they lived in Wright county. Then for fifteen years they lived at Prinsburg, Minnesota. In 1918 they moved to Orange City, and have lived her for a period of 19 years. She is survived by her husband and eight children, namely; Mrs. Peter Baker, Rock Valley; Neals Kragt, Sioux City; Peter Kragt, Lynden, Washington; Jake Kragt, Pease, Minn.; Albert Kragt, Rainier, Oregon: Mrs. Gerrit De Bruin, Rock Valley: Mrs. August Katje, Orange City; and Mrs. Joe Wallinga, Prinsburg, Minn. Funeral services were held at the home on Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. H. H. Kuiper of the Protestant Reformed church in charge. Interment was made in the local cemetery.
