December 21, 1862 --- April 16, 1927

George Forsythe of Eagle Grove died at his home April 16th from asphyxiation. He started the gas
heater in the bath room, preparing to take a bath. As he did not reappear from the bath room for some time his sister, Mrs. Margaret Vose, went in to investigate and found him apparently unconscious in the bath tub. Medical aid was summoned at once. It is thought that the burning of the gas flame consumed all the oxygen in the air in the small bath room and death resulted.
