Richard John Anderson, the son of Paul and Margaret (Mersch) Anderson, was born November 20,
1955, at the family home in Eagle Grove. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove. Richard had three daughters: Jaime, Kelli and Heidi. Over the years Richard worked at a variety of jobs – Boone Valley, Farmland Industries, Anderson Trenching, Fenske Construction, and K & K Construction. Richard liked to fish, attend auctions, watch television, and visit with friends. Richard passed away at his home on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the age of 57 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Margaret Anderson; brother, Harold Anderson; and sister, Josephine Weets. Survivors include his daughters: Jaime Lawson (Richard) of Des Moines, Kelli Reinhart (Brian) of Alleman, and Heidi Wilwerding (Steve) of Eagle Grove; grandchildren: Brady and Carson Reinhart, Tanner, Adam and Max Lawson, Alexis and Zack Mosher, and Kale Wilwerding; great-grandson, Brayden Lawson; siblings: JoAnne Weets (Raymond) of Runnels, Darrell Anderson (Patti) of Des Moines, Darlene Field of Des Moines, David Anderson (Cindy) of Eagle Grove, Marie Foster (Steve) of Eagle Grove, Gary Anderson of Eagle Grove, Betty Wright of Ankeny, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 1, at 11 a.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield with Pastor Jason Cooper, officiating. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family. Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove and Goldfield is in charge of arrangements.
