Beverly Cora Madsen Nutt, 85, died February 4, in Kingston Springs, TN. She was born November 13, 1927 in Latimer, Iowa. After attending business college in Waterloo, IA, she worked briefly in the WWII war effort in the San Francisco Bay Area. She worked as an executive secretary for General Mills Co. in Belmond, IA before marrying and raising a family. She moved to Huntsville in 1960 and resided there until shortly before her death. She was known by friends and family for her creativity; her keen wit and sense of humor; as a poet; and as a lover of art, literature, and music. Those closest to her also knew her as a selfless, compassionate, and a skilled caregiver. She is survived by her son, Craig Nutt of Kingston Springs, TN; sister, Gloria Layton of Minneapolis, MN; and brother, Alan Madsen of Champaign, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Nutt; son, Keith Alan Nutt; brother, Keith Madsen; and sister, Marilynn Graham. Private family meditations were observed prior to the cremation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in her memory to your favorite charity .
