Betty Lou Rasmussen, of Lodi, went to be with her Lord on January 18, 2013 in Lodi. She was born on November 20, 1940, in Badger, Iowa, to Thomas and Lucille Stockdale. Betty was the second oldest of 16 children. She attended Kindergarten with her future husband Anton (Tony) Rasmussen. She later attended elementary school in Thor, Iowa and later Eagle Grove High School. Betty and Tony met again as teenagers and were married on August 30, 1959, following graduating high school. In September 1959 they moved to Southern California to raise their sons, Jeffrey and Kevin. In 1970, the family moved to Lodi, in 1987 Tony and Betty moved to Hawaii for a year before returning to Springfield, Oregon. They returned to Lodi to be with their ailing son Kevin, who passed away in 2011. Betty worked in Lodi for J.C. Penney and for Bridal Wear. Her proudest moment was winning as "Queen for a day", where she was given a washer and dryer for her family in Iowa.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tony Rasmussen; son, Jeffrey (Paula) Rasmussen; daughter-in-law, Teresa Rasmussen; grandson, Jordan; mother Lucille Stockdale; sisters, Joyce Hill, Luann Bricki, Dianne Terwilleger, Dorris Madson, Connie McConnell, Marcia Sadler; brothers, Gene, Bob, Jim, Kenny, David, Jerald, Tim, and Mark Stockdale. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin Rasmussen; brother, Danny; father Thomas.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Committal to follow at Lodi Memorial Cemetery. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
