June B. Trausch, age 86, of Belmond, passed away Friday January 11, 2013 at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond. Funeral services for June B. Trausch will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday January 16, 2013 at the Dugger Funeral Home, 111 Luick's Lane South in Belmond. Burial will take place in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove at 1:00 P.M. Visitation for June B. Trausch will be held one hour prior to services on Wedesday at the funeral home and a small lunch will be held following the service at the Dugger Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials be made in June B. Trausch's name to the Belmond Hospital Foundation.

June Beatrice, the daughter of Sam and Pauline Thompson Gorden was born June 22, 1926 in Linden Township in Winnebago County Iowa. June grew up around the Forest City and Eagle Grove areas. June was united in marriage to Donald E. Trausch on September 20, 1948. The couple farmed together around the Belmond area. June was very involved in the farming operation right up to her retirement in 1979. She moved into Belmond that year. June loved making crafts with her husband, Don. Don would cut the wood, and then June would do the painting. She particularly loved selling her goods at the Fall Festival every year in Belmond.

June is survived by a sister, Betty Lou Peterson and husband, Archie of Fort Dodge, sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Trausch of Clarion, Viola (Trausch) Studer of Des Moines, a brother-in-law, Richard Trausch and wife, Bernice of Belmond, a very special nephew, Dennis Trausch and his wife, Pamela of Belmond and several other beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald, brother, Sanford, three sisters, Geneva Rollins, Sylvia Hansen, Bernice Peterson, step brother, Manly Biondahl, brothers-in-law, Frances Trausch, Everett Trausch, Robert Trausch; sisters-in-law, Margaret Trausch, Ethel (Trausch) Lewis, Helen (Trausch) Steffenson, and Gladys Trausch.
