Doris Eleanor Brady, Born November 19, 1916 in Corwith, Iowa and passed away on December 12, 2012 at the age of 96 years. Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Mike Sr., and four brothers. She is survived by son, Michael; grandsons, Scott (Amy) and Mark (Nikole); daughter-in-law, Janna Brady; and great grandchildren, Zachary, Jake, Gannon, Hannah, and Kiernan. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces, nephews and their children. Doris moved to Sacramento with her husband and son in 1955, settling in the McKinley Park area. She had a long successful career with Weinstocks and Macy's Department Stores for over 25 years. Beloved by her friends, she was prized for her wicked sense of humor, love of games, and card playing skills. Fiercely independent all of her life, she had an impeccable sense of fashion and style, with her hair perfectly coiffed. Even as she was forced to use a cane or walker, she refused to give up her high heels. Doris was a treasure to all she encountered and will be remembered with great love and the joy she spread to all. Services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Nicoletti, Culjis & Herberger Funeral Home, 5401 Folsom Blvd. Entombment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
