William Rozeboom, 92, Luverne, Minnesota formerly of Edgerton, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010 at the Minnesota Veterans Home, Luverne. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 11 at First Christian Reformed Church, Edgerton with Rev. Timothy Brown officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Kristin Elgersma, Dan Rozeboom, Ben Rozeboom, Tessa Van Otterloo and Sam Rozeboom. Pallbearers were Tim Prins, Trent Prins, Tadd Prins, and Merrick Van Otterloo. Interment was held at Hillside Cemetery with military rites.

William (Bill) Richard Rozeboom was born on Feb. 17, 1918 near Kanawha, Iowa, to John and Anna Rozeboom. He grew up on farms near Edgerton and attended country school and Edgerton High School. He married Leola Geerdes on June 8, 1941. Bill served 38 months in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II, the last year on Luzon, the Philippines. His wife, Leola, died in 1996.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy (Gordon) Prins, Edgerton; sons, John (Linda), Grand Rapids, Mich. and Loren (Julia), Nampa, Idaho; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Josie Schaap, Edgerton and brothers, George, Lynden, Wash.; Marvin (Alma) and Harvard (Clara), both of Leota. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leola and a son Billy.
