Cora M. "Marge" O'Conner

Des Moines -- Marge was born November 10, 1926 and passed away December 24, 2012. Marge came to Des Moines from Eagle Grove, Iowa in 1943. During this time, she worked many years for Fox Printing, later changing jobs and went to work for the Iowa DOT, retiring from there in December 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Brown; six grandchildren: John O'Conner, Melissa O'Conner, Amanda Nelson, Joshua Brown, Mike O'Neal and Bradie O'Neal; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Marge is preceded in death by her three sons: Tom, David and Scott O'Conner; her parents, Blanche and Edward Lamer; four brothers and three sisters. Her funeral will be 2 p.m., Saturday, at Brooks South Town Chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7601 Fleur Drive, where visitation will begin at 1.
