July 30, 1890 --- August 14, 1966

Mrs. Mary Netland was born at Alsace, France on July 30, 1890, the daughter of Louis and Rozina Scheppler. As a child she came to America and spent the early years of her life near Woolstock and Clarion, Iowa. On December 25, 1909, she was married to Benjamin Netland at Clarion. They lived near Clarion and later at Estherville before moving to Klemme in 1934, and have lived here since. Mrs. Netland passed away Sunday afternoon, August 14 at Concord Manor in Garner after a lengthy illness. Surviving are three children: Ethel, Mrs. Fred Sobek of Klemme, George of Klemme, Mary Lou, Mrs. Elmer Bachman of Klemme. Also Surviving are 1 brother and 5 sisters: George Scheppler of Rockford, Mrs. Jessie House of Webster City, Mrs. Margaret Sheffield of Clarion, Mrs. Emma Fortune of Webster City, Mrs. Irene Larson, of Webster City and Mrs. Jennie Nichols of Dows. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, her husband, and 1 daughter, Irene.
