Mrs. Lendie Bruhl was born in Illinois on December 26, 1897. The daughter of Ole and Christina Jurgensen. As a young girl she came to Iowa with her parents and attended rural schools in Wright County near Eagle Grove. Lendie Jurgensen was married December 31, 1919 to Cecil Bruhl at Eagle Grove and for several years they farmed in Wright County. They moved to the farm west of Klemme in 1948 and have made this their home. Surviving are her husband, Cecil; three sons: Merle of Klemme, Leo of Garner, Glenn of Eagle Grove and two daughters: Mrs. Virgil Hart of Osage, Mrs. Connie Salyer of Cedar Rapids; Also surviving are 4 brothers: Ode Jurgensen of Eagle Grove, Chris Jurgensen of Eagle Grove, Art Jurgensen of Kanawha and Sam Jurgenson of Goldfield and 4 sisters: Mrs. Hans Petersen of Eagle Grove, Mrs. F. B. Mathias of Waterloo, Mrs. William Eaton of Fort Dodge and Miss Edna Jurgenson of Eagle Grove. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother George, and 2 sisters Gertie and Clara.
