McKinney, Texas -- James DeFoe, Jr. was born May 13, 1980, in Fort Dodge, IA, to James DeFoe, Sr. and Christina Hefley. He moved to Texas in 2002. He married Danielle Cutrona on April 19, 2007; they later divorced. He worked for Tom Thumb for 10 yrs and recently went to work for BullChicks. James loved football and was a diehard fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Minnesota Vikings. James died on Sunday, December 2, 2012, in McKinney, TX. Survivors include two daughters, Alexis and Kaylee DeFoe, McKinney; his parents James DeFoe, Sr. of Kansas City, MO, and Christina and Michael Baessler of Eagle Grove, IA; Grandparents, Ellen DeFoe and Mardell Abrams; siblings Melissa (Thomas) Christman, Lewisville, Daniel (Lindsay) Baessler, Iowa Falls, IA, Christopher Baessler, Benjamin Baessler, and Brooke Baessler, all of Eagle Grove, IA. Memorial service is at 10:30 a.m., at the First Church of the Nazarene in Fort Dodge, IA. Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery.
