Shirley Y. Overbaugh, the daughter of Leslie and Eileen (Bible) Peterson, was born on December 26, 1939, in Clark, South Dakota. Through her expressive paintings and sculptures, Shirley created beauty and inspirational works of art that will be cherished by her family for many years to come.

Shirley passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge, at the age of 72 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Overbaugh and father, Leslie. Shirley is survived by her mother, Eileen Peterson; sisters, Cheryl Gamberg and husband Dewey and Foresta Pullman and husband Bill; daughters: Tamara Arne and husband Martin of Goldfield, Janine Humphrey of Fort Dodge, Foresta Olson of Aylett, VA and Tuesday Hanson and husband Kent of Elk Grove, CA; honorary daughters, Linda Metty and Sandy Cherry; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield with Deacon Dan Carney officiating. Visitation will be Monday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. The family wishes to thank Paula J. Baber Hospice Home of Fort Dodge for their kindness, patience and care to Mrs. Overbaugh. Please make donations to the Paula J.
