Alicia Ro Gannaway, the daughter of Richard and Beverly J. (Armour) Olson, was born on July 1, 1959, in Clarion, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, graduating from Eagle Grove High School "Class of 1978". After graduation, she attended North Central Bible College in Minneapolis for one year and then returned to Eagle Grove and worked as a dispatcher for Umthun Trucking.

On April 26, 1986, Alicia married Raymond Burras and they had one son, Brandon. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove, where Alicia worked as a teacher's aide. Ray preceded her in death on May 5, 2005. Alicia then moved to Marshalltown and also worked as a teacher's aide in the Marshalltown schools. On April 20, 2007, Alicia married Jim Gannaway. They lived in Sioux Rapids until August of 2012, when they moved to Marathon. Alicia enjoyed going to Drive-In theaters and motorcycle riding with Jim. She also loved family, pets, simple pleasures in life and sharing the Lord with everyone.

Alicia went home to the be with her Lord on Friday, November 23, 2012, after experiencing a massive heart attack, at the age of 53 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Alicia is survived by her husband, Jim Gannaway of Marathon; son, Brandon Burras and wife Kayla of Marshalltown; step-son, Matt Gannway and wife Jessica of Grinnell; grandsons: Hendricks and Samuel Burras and Ethan and Kaidan Gannaway; granddaughters, Peyton and Addison Gannaway; brother, Rob Olson of Marathon and many other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, 1:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Goldfield with Pastor Robert Dishman of Park Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Holmes Lutheran Cemetery, Holmes. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
