Funeral services for Henry J. Verduin, 72, were held in the First Reformed Church at Litchville on Friday, February 12, 1971 at 2 p.m. He died February 8, 1971. The Pastors Gerrit Rezelman and Wesley Hart officiated.

Mr. Verduin was born February 4, 1899 to Peter and Fanny (Vedders) Verduin, Sr. in Wright County, Iowa. Mr.Verduin's ten grandsons served as pallbearers. The six oldest, namely: Charles Flach, James Nordgaard, David Flach, Leslie Nordgaard, Robert Flach and Roger Liebing lovingly bore the casket. Dennis Nordgaard, Thomas Liebing, Scott Flach and Steven Liebing led the procession. Mrs. Leslie Nordgaard accompanied by Mrs. Bernard Kluvers sang "Abide With Me" and ‘Just As I Am, " the former hymn being the favorite hymn of the departed. Interment was in the Litchville Cemetery.
