Triple Funeral Services Held Here For Accident Victims

Mrs. Pearl L. Armbrest, a well known resident of the Winterset community, was killed last Wednesday, Nov. 30 in an automobile collision on a rural road, a mile northeast of Renwick in Wright county. Also killed in the crash were her granddaughter, Mrs. Gerald Harrah of Renwick, who was driving the car, and Mrs. Harrah’s 5-year-old son, Randall Lee. Mrs. Harrah was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Robison of Winterset.

The accident occurred when a car driven by Maurice Martin of Renwick struck the car driven by Mrs. Harrah at a rural intersection.

Funeral services for all three victims of the crash were held Saturday from the Blake Funeral home in Renwick, after which the bodies were brought to Winterset where triple funeral services were held Sunday from the Collins Funeral home here. The Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church at Winterset conducted the services here. Burial for all three was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mrs. Gerald Harrah

Sandra Ann Harrah, daughter of Curtis and Kathryne Armbrest Robison, was born at Winterset November 15, 1940. She lived in this community until she was 5 years old, when her family moved to Clarion where she attended school. She was married in Tennessee on Aug. 15, 1957 to Gerald Harrah. Their home is now at Renwick. She is survived by her husband; three children, Steven, 8; Lori, 4 and Kurt, 15 months, and a brother, Jon Robison of Indianola.
