Sandwich, IL - Ruth A. Cohoon, 81, of Sandwich passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva. She was born June 7, 1931 in Thor, Iowa the daughter of James and Marie (Torgensen) Johnson. She married Delbert Cohoon on July 1, 1951 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Jimmy Schlafke) Craft-Thorn of Sandwich and Bonnie Cohoon of Sandwich; two granddaughters, Kimberly (Juan) Gonzalez of Sandwich and Jennifer (Josh) Smith of Sandwich; four great grandchildren, Austin, Sean, Josie and Zach. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Cremation rites were accorded. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart-Eighner Funeral Home, Sandwich, Illinois.
