Florence Margaret Fisher was born February 15, 1932, at Irvington, Iowa, to Adolph and Catherine (Lanners) Fisch. She graduated from St. Cecelia Academy on May 22, 1949, and was married to Victor Fisher on February 20, 1950. Florence worked at Snap-On Tools in Algona for 22 years, retiring in 1993. Florence enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, sewing and playing cards. She had an artistic ability with her drawing, and enjoyed the outdoors, her flowers and bird watching.

Florence died at her home in Corwith on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the age of 80. Survivors include her children, Vicki and husband David Wagner of Corwith, Iowa; Jane and husband Paul Bartelt of Forest City, Iowa; Tom Fisher and wife Diane of LuVerne, Iowa and Lisa and husband Bruce Hoover of Danville, Indiana as well as 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mary Weydert, Josephine Curran, and Sally Besch and brother Matt Fisch.
