Roy G. Buhner, 85, Oregon City, Oregon, formerly of Eagle Grove, died Saturday at Lutheran Pioneer Nursing Home, Molalla, Oregon. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday at Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday. A public Masonic service will be 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret, Molalla, Oregon; daughters, Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Larson, Oregon City, Oregon, and Mrs. Francis (Lois) Hammett, Princeville, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, John Buhner, Eagle Grove and sisters, Mrs. Hattie Hansen, Mrs. Cecil (Laura) Wilde and Mrs. Robert (Freda) Fisher, all of Eagle Grove.
He was born in 1900 in Fulda, Minnesota. He lived in Eagle Grove from 1917 to 1925. He married Margaret J. Green of Rockwell City, Iowa on July 1, 1926. They lived in Redwood Falls, Minnesota where they owned and operated a greenhouse for many years. When they retired, they moved to Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, and had lived in Oregon for the past two years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Redwood Falls, Minnesota.
