Mrs. Bruce (Marcia Ann Newcomb) Jochims, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota passed away September 23, 1985 at the Masonic Cancer Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Burial was Thursday, September 26 in Rosehill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa.
Marcia Ann Newcomb Jochims was born on September 25, 1951, at Webster City, Iowa to Donald C. and Marian Black Newcomb of R.R., Eagle Grove, Iowa. She grew up in the Eagle Grove area, attended Head Grove country school, graduated from the Eagle Grove High School, Eagle Grove Community College and Buena Vista College at Storm Lake, Iowa, where she received her B.A. degree in elementary education. She taught second grade in the Ramsey, Minnesota schools. She formerly worked at KVFD Radio and the Department of Transportation at Fort Dodge, Iowa. Marcia taught piano lessons in her home and was Worthy Advisor of Rainbow Girls in high school.
On November 11, 1978, she was united in marriage with Bruce G. Jochims at Fort Dodge. The couple lived at Fort Dodge and Badger and then moved to Minnesota three years ago. Marcia's hobbies were genealogy and collecting dolls.
Marcia was baptised in the Methodist Church at Eagle Grove, Iowa and was a member until joining Faith Lutheran Church at Coon Rapids.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce G. Jochims of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; her parents, Don and Marian Newcomb of rural Eagle Grove; three brothers: Terry of rural Clarion; Ronald of Schaumburg, Illinois; David of Ames; her father and mother-in-law, Glenn and Rose Jochims of Fort Dodge; three nephews, Christopher, Austin and Matthew; a niece, Lisa Newcomb and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
