Minnie deNeui was born on December 11, 1903, to John and Herina Kramer deNeui at Ackley, Iowa. She grew up at Ackley and graduated from Ackley High School in 1921. Following graduation, she attended Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She later attended a year of college at Greeley, Colorado. She taught school at Webster City, Iowa, and then in Washington, D.C. during World War II. She was united in marriage to Glen R. Bush in May of 1927, at Biloxi, Mississippi. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Minnie Bush died Sunday, January 3, 1999, at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, at the age of 95. Survivors include four nephews, Dale C. Dougherty, Clarion, Iowa; Russell Dougherty, Belmond, Iowa; William deNeui, Arizona; and Loren Dougherty, Sanford, Florida; two nieces, Gerene Smith, Eagle Grove; and Mary Lou Knott, Minnesota; and many great nieces and nephews, and many great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen; two sisters, Gertrude Dougherty, and Abbie Feldhans; and one brother, John deNeui.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 6, 1999, at 10 a.m. at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with the Reverend Candace Adams from the United Presbyterian Church in Clarion, Iowa, officiating. Burial will be held in the Oakwood Cemetery at Ackley, Iowa. Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, Iowa, is in charge of the arrangements.
