BRIDE OF THREE MONTHS DIES

Services Are Held in Eagle Grove for Mrs. Frances Mohler

EAGLE GROVE — Mrs. Eleanor Frances Mohler, 28, a bride of only three months, died at Mercy hospital, Fort Dodge, Thursday, after a short illness of infantile paralysis. Funeral services were held at the Wilson chapel, Eagle Grove, Saturday. Burial was made by Wilson in the Woolstock cemetery. The pallbearers were Harry Groves, John Smith, Laverne Fatland, Ed Tokheim, Willard Weinhold and Donald Frank. Surviving are the parents Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilkin of Eagle Grove; the husband Carl R. Mohler, at Otley, Iowa; two brothers, Carl, at Compton, Cal., and Walter, in Eagle Grove.

ELEANOR WILKIN MOHLER
Eleanor Frances Wilkin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilkin, and wife of Carl Reeves Mohler died in Mercy hospital in Fort Dodge on December 7, 1939. Eleanor was born near Eagle Grove on March 27, 1911. She attended public school near Eagle
Grove and graduated from Eagle Grove high school with the class of 1928. After teaching in the rural schools of Wright County, she attended Graceland College in Lamoni.

Later after completing a beauty course, she practiced cosmetology in Des Moines. On August 13, 1939, Eleanor was united in marriage with Carl Reeves Mohler in Des Moines. They resided near Dunreath where she was engaged in teaching.

Eleanor was baptized into the Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Saints and remained faithful until the last, having taught her Sunday school class as usual last Sunday.

She leaves to mourn her sudden death her husband, her parents, and two brothers, James of Compton, Calif., and Walter of Eagle Grove, besides other relatives and many friends. Preceding her in death were a younger sister, and a younger brother, Frank, Jr. who passed away December 22, 1935. Services were held Saturday at Wilson's Chapel with Elder C. E. McDonald in charge, assisted by Elder Castings of Des Moines. Solos were furnished by Laura Frank, accompanied by Ollie Cowan Johnson. Interment was held in Woolstock cemetery.
