Gordon M. Gunderson Sr., 54, of 2028 Lynn Rd., Anniston, died Wednesday at Anniston Memorial Hospital after an illness. He was general manager of Turner Dairies. Funeral services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Gray Brown-Service Chapel with the Rev. Mack Finney and the Rev. Richard McLeroy officiating. Burial will be in Forestlawn Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annelia Bevis Gunderson; a son, Gordon M. Gunderson Jr., both of Anniston; and a sister, Miss Maxine Gunderson of Des Moines, Iowa. Pallbearers will be Roy Burton, Ray Price, Doug Pratt, Robert Grant, George Barber, Jr., Curtis H. Springer, Leonard Norton and Willis Shumaker. Honorary pallbearers will be the board of directors of First State Bank of Oxford and Alabama Dairy Products Association. He was a native of Wright County, Iowa and had been a resident of Anniston for the past nine years. Mr. Gunderson was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the board of directors of the First State Bank of Oxford. He was a board member of Southern Dairy Food Products, captain of the Anniston Quarterback Club, and a member of Alabama Dairy Products Association, Anniston Rotary Club, Anniston Country Club and Elks Club. The body will remain at the mortuary through the service.
